I have stayed out of this thus far, but now......
I am of the Vietnam draft age. Thank whoever for my heart murmer and asthma for keeping me out of that nonsensical American-Vietnamese murdering war. I don't know ANYONE, friend or family, that came back the same as when they left.
The military treats soldiers as fighting dogs, breaking them down to nothing, then retraining as fighting animals.
My older brother volunteered for 4 years in the Marines. His service wound up being during the Cuban Missle 'Crisis'.
Never was there a less qualified person than my brother to be a Marine.
After his service, looking at a dead cat freaked him out. But he was ABSOLUTELY pro-Republican, and he was a MUCH BIGGER pussy than I.
The military teaches you not to think on your own.
Former military will tell you that is not true, but that is because that is what those poor bastards were taught.
Former military personnel with actual intelligence will tell you the actualities of the wars since Vietnam.
But many of them have been broken like dogs ready to fight.
And that is pathetic, as was my brother.
