Less of a possibility now I think.
What you have a bigger possibility of now is either a terrorist setting off a "dirty bomb," which would be a mess to deal with, or some idiot, either intentionally or unintentionally, unleashing some sort of nasty biological agent that causes widespread problems.
War in general now seems to be done in the manner of a series of terrorist actions.
