Both are tragic events. But this thread is about 9/11. While this is true, I agree that people should be careful with superlatives. Calling an event that claimed 3,000 lives the "most horrific" event of the 21st century when another event claimed more than 200,000 is a bit inappropriate in my opinion.And people in Haiti who remember 2010 might also have something to say about this matter. The event was tragic yes, but US citizens can have feelings of entitlement and indignancy due to the notion that they are superior and more important over the rest of the world.
