- Hulk becoming another guy.

- Or Black War Machine (they do not all look the same).

- Or Thanos changing color and facial structure per MCU film.

- Or Scarlet Witch's lost Russian accent.

The Hulk was the first abortive attempt to kick start the MCU. It isn't like they tried to change the actor playing Hulk after The Avengers.

And the character of War Machine is insignificant. It would be just like changing the actor who played Jimmy Olsen.......if he hadn't been shot in the face.
