Pure nostalgia, but surprisingly watched it a year or two back and it remained good fun because of its well-rounded dynamics. No CGI here. But one thing I did forget, was just how dark and confronting it can be, compared to the lighter and overproduced follow-ups. It did make me go and check out the graphic novels. Wasn't it at one stage the highest grossing independent movie.
As a kid, I grew up with "He-Man: Masters of the Universe" and then I moved onto "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". They also were the first two films I ever saw at the cinemas. So they definitely (both the cartoon & films) hold a special place in my heart.
