Why are most New York Mets fans a bunch of insufferable losers?

I'm a Braves fan but I've never in my life met or had any interaction with a true Mets fan so I can't really judge. I do know that living in prime Cardinals country that a lot of there fans are insanely annoying and rude. Last couple times I went to Busch Stadium when they were playing the Braves I've had bad experiences because of the Cardinals fans. Yet they like to call themselves "best fans in baseball". Bunch of rude assholes in my mind. Passionate sure. But rude assholes all the same.
