That is just about holding onto and buying into your own fear and paranoia. Americans are some of the most paranoiac people around. Look at the gun culture. My fear and paranoia? I'm a woman, and I've traveled through the Middle East, solo. I do not own a gun. Non-Americans love to make stereotypes about American culture based on what they see in movies or in the media. The reality can be quite different. People are just people, no matter where they're from. We're all individuals, and making broad stereotypes about any group of people is wrong. JMO. Yeah! I love people just being people! I was in Florence once and this huge fat man in a Stetson and cowboy boots motioned to me and yelled out across the street "Hey M'am, do you speak English? At my admission that Yes, I spoke English, he then asked me " Do you know where I can get a decent steak around here?" Just a person being.....a person in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world with one of the world's best cuisines!
