How old were you when you told them? I was a late bloomer Gamey, in my late 20's. I didn't live in the same country as my folks, so didn't see them that often, otherwise it would have been something that I would have been open about with them much earlier. I didn't want them near me. Interesting, so you were already independent. I snuck around in high school and they had no clue. That's why I started cruising parks and tearooms because it was completely anonymous. My older sister told me later they suspected my younger brother because he's very flamboyant. But I was always so dour and showed no signs of effeminacy. When I was 19 I met an older black man and we became lovers. We moved in together. That's when I finally told my mother. |
