And earlier Basinger and a "councilman" client are watching This Gun for Hire (1942) dir: Frank Tuttle, starring Alan Ladd and Veronica Lake. Basinger plays a call-girl working for an agency that supplies girls made up to look like famous film stars (utilizing plastic surgery where necessary). Basinger is supposed to be a Lake clone.  |
