I've never tried Gallo white wines. When it comes to white wine, I tend to go for the more expensive Pouilly Fuisse or Corton Charlemagne from France but these can be a burden on your pocketbook.
Another great white from France is Condrieu, wich is made from the scarce Voignier grape. And another expensive one but oh so very good.
