I watched it a few months ago. Oates has a Bogey feeling to him. Dreyfuss is memorable as Baby Face Nelson. I didn't see Public Enemies because I heard bad things about the digital photography. According to movie legend, a lot of young movie directors like Steven Spielberg, Francis Coppola, Martin Scorsese, George Lucas, Michael Cimino and Brian De Palma saw 'Dillinger' and said of Richard Dreyfuss (paraphrasing), "Who the hell is this guy? This dude is nuts!"Haven't seen the film in awhile, but I remember a scene with Dillinger smacking Baby Face Nelson (Dreyfuss) around. From all I've read about Nelson, he was a very hot tempered psychopath. I don't see Nelson taking kindly to being slapped around.
