It's a very beautiful part of a beautiful country (and not really that poor.) I think I'm right in saying that about half the people in Scotland with Irish roots can trace part of their ancestry back to Donegal.
It's quite conservative - I believe it was the only part of the country that voted "no" in the referendum to (effectively) allow the legalisation of abortion.
Which part of the county did she come from?
