I was going to say something about both of them too, but I don't know how big a character Leto was on the show and if I discounted Seann William Scott I would also have to discount McConaughey because of Dazed and Confused.

Leto was the main love interest. And Dazed and Confused (which also featured Zellweger, incidentally) was a relatively small cult movie vs American Pie which was a pop culture and box office juggernaut, so I'd let Matt slide.
