During WW2, a 3000-strong American unit, known as Merrill's Marauders, battles the Japanese forces in Burma.

I met a veteran of that unit. He disliked the name "Merrill's Marauders". From what I've heard from older US special forces people, Merrill was widely disliked by troops under him.
