Still remains one of the best movie adaptation of TMNT. I used to own the original comic and many scenes and dialogue in the movie are at times directly taken as is from the comic.
I also enjoyed the sequel. Yes it was more watered down in terms of action and grittiness, but the humor was great!

And it had Vanilla "freakin" Ice!! Top that Michael Bay!
