The scene in SUPERMAN the Movie where the girl goes inside to tell her mother she saw a flying man and the mother is heard to slap her.
The nonsense with PC is that it may hide truths. The military would definitely have guns in dealing with an alien and children. Hiding that doesn't make it less likely, it just means the movie is dishonest or unrealistic.
There's a 1979 film ASHANTI which was probably considered progressive for the time, but it shows a black muslim guy taking a black boy around a truck to molest him. That was not a Hollywood film though. It's unlikely a big studio would ok it.
Even ZULU would be considered unPC now-at the time, showing crippled soldiers killing Zulus was progressive--the heroes were the sick and injured and rebellious--but from today it looks like colonial butchery of the native populations. Made worse by the PC ending of the Zulus "saluting fellow braves" which is not what happened in reality.
Harvey Weinstein was guilty of more than trading roles for sex. The actresses were repulsed by him-this is why he was attacking them in hotel rooms. He was acting like a Muslim sultan and protected by his colleagues and media. For the most part it would seem he only targeted "infidels." He didn't touch anyone he considered of his kin. Staggering hypocrisy given that Hollywood is always preaching about women's rights and how tribalism is bad--yet Hollywood is the opposite--it sees women as whores and is governed by tribal nepotism.
