There was another one from that same year called The Ottoman Lieutenant. I hadn’t bothered watching it but I heard and it’s my understanding that the film goes opposite and barely addressed the Armenian genocide. I remember also that Russell Crowe vehicle called The Water Diviner which I liked but it’s also fairly ignorant about the political tension at this time. Yeah, I remember both films came out about the same time. It'd be interesting to watch them both back to back for different perspectives I suppose. I guess that film (Ottoman Lieutenant) was the official "Turkish history" of the time period. |
