Anyone remember "Chief Noc-a-Homa"? He had a teepee in the outfield of Fulton County Stadium and he would do a little war dance every time a Braves player hit a homer (Hank Aaron must have given him a workout). Later, they had an Indian princess called "Win-a-Lotta" (stinks). I think the Chief was a real native. Deaf-mute players William Hoy and Luther Taylor were universally called "Dummy". Native players Albert Bender and John Meyers were called "Chief". And dark complected players Jay Clarke and George Cuppy were called "Nig". I don't think those nicknames will ever come back. That would have been awesome! It was. You could go get a picture with the Chief at his teepee during the game. Oh wait. You meant those hate filled nicknames were awesome, don't you? Damn bro.
