and they weren't that bad during the earlier seasons of the show but they get worse every season which is really strange when you think about it 'cause most people who do something a lot get better at it as they go but the writers of these shows have gone in the opposite direction. 
How do these people even get to work in television in the first place? Is it because of prior success with other shows or do they know people in the industry? Do standards no longer exist when you employ somebody to write a tv show? Is the bar set this low now?
