Bill Pulman's characters is NOT handled in a respectable way. His character is turned into a joke in ID4 2 and it takes away everything that makes his character so effective in the original film. He's basically turned into a poster boy for PTSD but done in an unintentionally hilarious way. I didn't miss it. It was just as poorly written as everything else in the movie. His sacrifice doesn't eliminate how poorly his character is handled up until that point, so when he does make the sacrifice I didn't feel one way or another about it. |
