the 5 star rating.
If you hated it fine, but as I was discussing about context and the finished product, it is far from a half star film, unless you are a casual viewer and don't even like or watch horror films, or don't have much of a point of reference regarding film at all. 1) Ah, you used the other rating system. How was I supposed to know that?2) If I hated it, of course I'm going to give it a low grade. 3) Why do you think that? I said what was I comparing it to. Errrrr! Common sense. If you are rating something out of ten, simple logic should dictate when you divide into 2.
The point is, why you hate it so much to give it the lowest of the low. Even if you don't like it, and that is your personal prerogative, your hate for it appears unfounded or even unreasonable, especially if you are a film buff\connoisseur. Like I mentioned earlier, as far as groundbreaking horror films go from the 70's and in the context and quality of the finished product, I could understand an average rating some may give the film, like a 5\10, but to give it 1\2 a star doesn't make much sense to me in overall context of what the film depicts, represents and the manner in that it was rendered. I know you are not a casual viewer and like dissecting film.
