It depends upon the circumstances. There are some instances where quality is irrelevant. Exactly right. Things sold in perfectly competitive market structure are of nearly the same quality. Sometimes more quantity could be a good trade-off against products that are of slightly higher quality but significantly greater price. That said yeah, for many many things perceived quality is more important.
