None of yours for me this week my friend. Mine: Annihilation (2018 Netflix): This movie is mysterious and left for interpretation. I usually love these types of films but this time it did not affect me greatly. My take; don’t go inside the big hole where the sun don’t shine or bad things will happen to you. You’ll either turn into a flower person or get cancer. On a more serious note, I liked the trippy parts and I finally found a movie that knows how to use a synthesizer without being irritating. Oh and props for a great use of Crosby, Still & Nash -Hopelessly Hoping; just wow. For ALL those reasons: 6.5/10 What lies beneath (2000 TV): This is not my type of movie to start with; I find it rather pointless and borderline stupid. This one was well-executed but still pointless and rather stupid. People that claim this is one of the most suspenseful movies were confused by the suspenseful soundtrack playing for 80% of the film. 5.5-6/10 American Horror Story: Asylum episode 5 and 6 and the show just keeps getting better. Love it more and more. Let's say 8.5/10 for now. I also watched UFC 225 Whittaker VS Romero 2 and MAN, THAT WAS A CRAZY FIGHT!!!!! SHIT! Yo dude Annihilation - flawed but good, I like synthesizer scores more often than not for the record. 7-7.5 What lies Beneath - I found it pretty well done except for some effects near the end 6.5
