I didn't catch the Plot/Logic hole in Venom and I saw it twice.

Don't know about that specific line of reasoning but I do know it didn't make sense how the movie made such a big deal about symbiotes needing a perfectly matched host for them to survive and then we see Riot easily possessing every single human it comes in contact with and managing to bond with them for extended periods of time without consequence.
