Since MCU Dictator Kevin Feige likes to portray the US military as corrupt or incompetent, they'll probably make Magneto a soldier in the US Army during the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" days and Magneto gets discharged for coming out about his homosexuality.

Don’t ask, don’t tell, but Charles can read his mind, encourages him to come out and he gets thrown out of the military. They form teams, have a skirmish where no character dies, pay RDJ 50 million to cameo and build a special suit for Xavier and there’s another McMarvel hit.
