What a tough decision you've presented us with, Toasted Cheese!
In "All About Eve", you've got a great story, some of the best dialogue ever written and prime Bette Davis. It is an enormously entertaining movie.
In "Sunset Boulevard" you get a strong indictment against Hollywood, you get the coolest decaying mansion ever (w/creaking pipe organ, no less), a really good story and also you get Norma Desmond and Max! It pains me to have to make a choice like this and I kind of can't believe I'm going to do what I am about to do, but I gotta go with "Sunset Boulevard", as much as I adored "All About Eve" and , in particular, Bette Davis' warm, hyper-intelligent performance as Margo (I have always found that cinema characters named "Margot" are all pretty darned loony-tunes,all the way and to including to when Kelly Garrett got attracted to psycho tranny with ablonde wig a strait razor) in CA on th 15th season "Angel on Line"... Margos are just no damn good, they're all psyschopathics..
Still, I would have given "All About Eve: a solid 9.8
