Ref: England Defeat Comes as no surprise to me, tis why I couldn't comfortably wager on England for the World Cup. As this game has proved, and Scotland before it, if you take your foot off the pedal then you get punished. I think it's a good thing, a wake up call, but it does those on the fringe of the squad no favours. Personally I'm with Mark Taylor who strongly vocalised that you shouldn't change a winning team, you should drive the opposition into the ground and win every match of a series. England are not as dominant as Windies of late 70s or Aus of 2003 but they are significantly stronger than any other team. To win WC 2019 any team would have to win 3 KO games in a row. Indian batsmen will struggle in England though they did win Champions trophy in 2013 in England and made it to finals of last champions Trophy. Australia isn't looking like a team that will have confidence to win WC. Even Smith's return can't be that big help because he is just an average batsman in ODI format. SA can be a dark horse but no team can compete with England in terms of batting power. Pakistan is a joke and their recent one-off CT win was a big farce. Would likely not happen twice.
My personal probability England 50% chance The field 50% chance.
