So what does everyone think about the direction of S5 of The Flash?

I don't mind AoS' recent format, but I kind of feel like the storylines are a slough, even when they're short. The occasional two part or multi-part episode arc is fine; and even having a longer storyline that weaves through an entire season is good too, but it has to be balanced and planned out.
