That's because Benintendi went to Univ. of Ark. When they said they were playing in "LA", he thought, that must mean Magnolia, Arkansas in Lower Arkansas aka "LA".

Mookie came to the big leagues as a 2nd baseman, but hasn't played there since his rookie season. It's 2nd base though, you can play that position with your eyes closed.
