And yet, those same MCU fans who always try to claim that Wonder Woman is like an MCU movie still refuse to admit that most MCU movies are like Superman: The Movie. Even MCU Dictator Kevin Feige has admitted that MCU copies most of their movies from Superman: The Movie. So what I've said may times before is true. Without Superman: The Movie, there would be no Avengers movies and no MCU. Actually there would be Avengers movies and there would be an MCU. Just because they took inspiration from it doesn't mean they had to. No, without Superman: The Movie, the Avengers movies would all be just low-budget movies like the 3 Punisher movies and there would be no MCU. That's how it was before 1978. Prior to Superman: The Movie, superhero movies were just low-budget serial movies because no one thought a big-budget superhero movie could be successful so no movie studio was willing to spend a lot of money to make a big-budget superhero movie. It's similar to how, after Elektra in 2005, there wasn't another female-led superhero movie for over a decade because no one thought there would be enough of an audience for a female-led superhero movie so no studio, including MCU for 10 years, was willing to spend money to make a female-led superhero movie, until Wonder Woman showed that female-led superhero movies can be successful. And now, there are more female-led superhero movies that have been announced or being planned. And similarly, Superman: The Movie showed that a big-budget superhero movie could be successful and basically created the genre of big-budget superhero movies. So without Superman: The Movie, there would be no MCU.
