Let me tell you one thing I'd like to see more of in new movies:

I'd like to see better stories.

And I'd like to see the passage of time within the story more clearly delineated.

You ever watch a movie and you feel like these major events in the lives of the characters just happened over the weekend? It doesn't feel realistic like a real amount of time has passed, like what might happen in real life.

Certainly sometimes the events playing out did just happen over the course of a day or two, but I recently watched a movie where the story took place over months, but it felt like it was just two or so days. Took me out of the reality of the story.
