Well, any of us are capable of doing any horrible thing. It's delusional to think otherwise. Thankfully most people are decent and empathetic towards others so they never give into their darker impulses. Some think those who do are more honest, but I call bullshit on that. Goodness is just an honest expression of our humanity as evil. And it might be more honest to be good because it's harder, which means we're trying to elevate ourselves to our higher human nature and not lower ourselves to our baser animal nature.
The disturbing thing about sexual assault in the LGBTQ is that instances of rape are higher among bisexuals then among homosexuals. 44% of lesbian women endure rape, compared to 61% of bisexual who have been raped. Meanwhile only 35% of heterosexual women have been raped. Among men 26% of gay men have been raped, compare to 37% of bisexual men, and 21% of heterosexual men.
Most instances of rape against members of LGBTQ community is known as "corrective rape". That is the attacker thinks that by raping their victim they will be "correcting" or "curing" what they consider abhorrent behavior. It's most common in Africa, India, and Jamaica, with one known case in the United States.
