Box office doesn't set the bar. It's ratings that set the bar. Both critics and general audience have rated The Dark Knight not only the best CBM of all time but also 1 of the best movies (CBM or non-CBM) of all time. Nothing MCU has ever made even comes close to that. Avengers, IW, and MCU have definitely lowered the bar for CBMs. Personally, I have no problem putting TDK on a pedestile as the crowing achievement of live action superhero movies. The key here is that DC-Fanboy has admitted that the critics and audiences dictate which movies are the best via how they are rated. ... and the rating evidence indicates that many MCU movies have come close to TDK, if not surpassed it. There’s no denying it now! Thanks for clearing that up for us, DC. You’ll make a MCU fan out of yourself, yet! |
