Well it's redundant to begin with. A lot of movies are lifted from the pages of books. There's nothing 'factual' to do with a lot of movies. Sherlock Holmes and Jason Bourne aren't real either. No, they aren't--and I don't see too many people treating them with all the gravitas of a modern-day Greek mythos either. Me neither.
I stand by what I said, but I should have said it to you instead of around you. That was a mistake, but I do not care for this 'it's not real' trump card. It's not wrong, but I think it sucks the fun out of any debate. Unless someone's being abusive and they need the wake-up call, by all means shut them down, but I didn't think we were there yet.
Why bother discussing anything at all if 'it's not real' is the magnetic north every discussion leads to?
