How do these people even get to work in television in the first place? Is it because of prior success with other shows or do they know people in the industry? Do standards no longer exist when you employ somebody to write a tv show? Is the bar set this low now? You get what you pay for. If you're a small network you don't have the money to get the cream of the crop but must scrape the bottom of the barrel. General Kenobi is right. Although sometimes the small networks get lucky and get some really good writers and actors for their shows when they are starting out and you only have to look at a show like 'Felicity' for example which was on the WB Network (the network that became the CW Network) and that was created by JJ Abrams and Matt Reeves who are now making 'Star Wars' and 'Batman' movies. Thou shalt not sayeth the name of the beast... Begone Evil One!!!! . . . . . . Oh you meant the other Felicity, the one people actually like, ok fair enough.
