I love Dia de los Muertos, a Meso-American holiday, The Day of the Dead. For three days, people remember their relatives that have passed on, they set up shrines with things that would attract their loved one's attention, fix food that their loved ones liked, and in some instances, have a party in the cemetery and believe their loved ones are there in spirit. My heritage is as Nordic as it gets, but I love the idea of honoring the people you've loved that are gone. It certainly sounds much better and a lot nicer than whatever Halloween has been turned into by big business.
