"T'Challa didn't spare Killmonger. Killmonger died, from wounds T'Challa inflicted on him and then T'Challa refused to save him."ref·use /rəˈfyo͞oz/ verb past tense: refused; past participle: refused indicate or show that one is not willing to do something. That part is untrue. He offered to save him, but Killmonger denied it. T'Challa accepted Killmongers wish to die. He didn't refuse him anything as he offered help showing willingness. . T’Challa accepted Killmonger’s wish to die but not Zemo’s. Yet Killmonger had conceivably killed more people. All of this is opinion on my part from what I saw. This by no means definitive just what I believe. Judgement call for how T'Chala's father betrayed him to keep a lie. Killmonger died in his land. He's a King he is the government. The Government of Wakanda through his Dad created the strife and killed his father. T'Chaka is responsible for leaving Killmonger in dire straits and did nothing to help even in secret. A trust could've been formed and taken care of the child Anonymously. He didn't lift a finger. The new Government through T'Chala gave him the sentence with pity and regret. This is one of the main problem with consolidating all the power of a Government in the hands of one person. They can let emotions cloud their logic. It's a flaw. Humans have flaws so he was written that way. With Zemo he let emotions get the better of him the entire movie. He over corrected because he was so consumed. He allowed him to live and be held responsible for his other crimes. He saw how much he let his actions be dictated by emotion almost killing the wrong man in vengeance sake he was so blinded. He's self correction was to great for him to have enough will to allow him to die. Very small side note. It could've been a little dicey if it were ever found out he was present with a death of a person, that turns out is tied to the plot kill his father. And it's public knowledge you were chasing someone in through a city. The Police know you were looking for your father's killer. Between Ironman Him and the tech they have could erase any evidence he was there When the actual Shrink's body was found, the mask, and they tied that to Zemo. It's a small risk, granted, but if he were placed there he would look guilty of killing a foreigner on foreign soil. I believe Diplomatic Immunity would be in effect, but maybe not if he didn't get permission to enter the country. Would be safer if the lived.
