It's too melodramatic for my taste although I loved the final battle.
I've never been big on Vietnam stuff. Most films treat it under he same themes and tropes.
The best one remains Apocalypse Now and I also loved the Forrest Gump portion because my uncle said it was closest to the truth about his time there although with less corruption (He despised his time there.)
