The chauffeur is spooky. Saw this at a drive-in.
The chauffeur's played by one of the great California-based character players, Anthony James of South Carolina, so unforgettable as the despicable racist working in the diner in Norman Jewison's crime drama 'In The Heat Of The Night' (1967). Check out the excellent mini-documentary 'Anthony James : Acting His Face' (2015) in which he shares his thoughts on the acting profession and describes how Bette Davis helped him exhibit his paintings.
