Was Robin Williams a good actor?

He was wonderful and hilarious when on a high. Genie is the single greatest character in Disney animated history. In live-action works, his performances were often surprisingly touching.

So I guess my answer is yes on both counts. He was a great actor and a very, very funny guy.
