I believe there are a lot of men, Christian men, that fantasize about killing a violent intruder. They get angry just thinking about it, and dream about how satifying it would be to shoot them. I believe there is a part of them that is unfulfilled. The part that desires to be a hero. And the part that desires to punish those who would do them harm. But instead we should hope we never have to kill anyone, even an evil person. People understandably will feel angry because a sense of security was taken away from them and their own privacy was invaded and even corrupted. However, the feeling of desire to act upon that anger and then perhaps do an evil act in return to satiate that feeling, will only lead to more despair.
We often play the why me and self-pitying game with ourselves, because we may not understand why something\anything can happen to us, but ultimately, by the flip side of that coin, we also need to understand, that anything that can and does happen to us, is also part of a learning curve about our own emotions and how we choose to respond or react.
