Box Office Mojo doesn’t have the exact numbers for the amount of tickets sold by a movie. Their tracking is nothing more than an estimatation that doesn’t account for the fact that different theaters have different prices for their movie tickets. I think it kind of does it uses average ticket cost at the time as it's thing, like you ever paid $9.14 for a ticket? that shits usually rounded off to something in my experience, but yeah it's not exact it's all estimates based on what info they have available. For the theater I go to, tickets have generally been more expensive than that for the past few years. |
