No, he did not. This can be easily found online. The death count was actually counted in MOS and Avengers and MOS was lower. Some uber-nerd had more time on his hands than I do. I'm just a regular nerd.
Anyway, Hobowar is wrooooooonnnnnggggg! But he has a pretty icon.
Pretty sure the Avengers were not the ones responsible for most of those deaths, as we clearly see the chitauri opening fire on civilians.
