The chances of Sheffield ever reaching Paxson's level are slim.

There was no reason to rebuild. They won 89 games last year. The A's were a fluke. The Astros will be without Keuchel, Morton and McCullers next year. They should have re-signed Cruz, found a centerfielder that didn't cost them their catcher and tried to get Kikuchi. I have followed this team religiously for 42 seasons. I am sick of taking two steps back. I am too old for this crap. Jerry Dipoto can join Clayton Bennett in the 4th circle of Hell.
