When people have become so stupid, unfulfilled and bored with their lives that they feel the need to rush out and trample on each other just to buy some discounted products they don't need that they've been brainwashed by the media to buy, then you have got to wonder why we are even here.
If humans are no longer building anything or improving anything (apart from the very occasional work of art like RDR II) here on Earth and instead are running around like a bunch of mindless selfish idiots, then you have to think that maybe there's no point for us to be here any more. Humanity has peaked, and unless people wake up and change their ways, it's all downhill from here. With each passing day there become more people like the ones shown in that GIF. Soon they'll be everywhere.
This is an incredibly simple over-generalization. Not all humans run around like selfish idiots. Not all humans are stupid, unfulfilled or bored. Not all humans feel the need to rush out, and trample on others. I would say MOST HUMANS are not that way.
Generally speaking, most humans are more evolved than ever before in every way. Humanity hasn't peaked. It is still getting better.
