Yes! He, Chewie, and C3PO are the only characters who have made me think it was a Star Wars movie so far. I’m truly of the belief that the writers/directors/producers of this one didn’t even watch the last movie they made. Hamill’s “R2? R2!”–OK, that’s a trace of his characterization from the originals. There was more emotion on his face in that second than in anything else so far. The one-minute scene on the Falcon between Mark and the droid is the only thing in four Disney films that truly felt like Star Wars to me. (And, I’ve never not been talking to you. Just busy!  ) Oh, I know, I’m just kidding because you were so forceful about “if you like anything about it, I’m never talking to you again!” But I was just kidding around as well, no worries. |
