Ricky Jay has died at 72.

Requiscat in pace, Mr. Jay, one of the great students, teachers, and artists of his craft. This one came as a complete shock, but may the Almighty enjoy the skill and artistry you put into throwing a playing-card into the thick pachydermatous outer melon layer.
