It sure seems that way.
But they've definitely been saying "fuck you" to fans ever since. First they refused to accept any criticism of the TLJ, no matter how valid. Instead they attacked the fans, calling them every insult in the book. Second, they renewed Kathleen Kennedy's contract for another three years. Kennedy was partly responsible for the content of the TLJ. She also stood by and did nothing while various Lucasfilm representatives, e.g., Rian Johnson, attacked Lucasfilm's customers on-line. You would think they'd realize that attacking their customers is not a viable business strategy, but it so far they haven't.
