Can't go with Hogan being shit. If you're younger, I get it. Savage's in ring work was years ahead of its time. He'd meticulously plan out matches move for move at a time when that was not just frowned on but considered not real wrestling, and because of that his matches were smoother than just about anything from that time and had an amazing character thst he was fully committed to. He's probably my favourite wrestler ever.
Having said that I love Hogan from 1984-90 and then 96-99. He was a great seller, terrific promo and knew how to work a crowd, as both a face and a heel, better than just about any wrestler I've ever seen. I've been critical of his output and ego from 1991-95 and the face turn during his feud with Flair in '99 that killed the company (seriously they went from two of their best ever buyrates and being on par with RAW in the ratings going into March 99 to never drawing a respectable buyrate or getting to within 1 ratings point of RAW again). But from '84-90 he was one of the best workers on the planet.
