Nolan did not write that Bruce has mental issues for dressing like a bat. Bruce was playing to a crowd of rich snobs. Hell, right after that the woman goes the other way and sides with Batman. I think you are trying to change movies to fit with what you are saying. um no . it also shows why you mcu fans are dumbed down and don't get subtext. Nolan was looking at it from his own views. that was the director's pov. bruce was acting like a rich boy in a normal world of wealth and in a normal world it is mental to dress up like a bat.
um this is the same series that made sure they never used any other ooc villain like penguin or dr freeze to make the movies as grounded as they came.
speaking of rich boys. what happened to iron man aka tony stark? I mean there is a reason he is still seen as a poor man's batman? why.because you see iron man could have been the iconic character today if he had the story and film making approach but disney made him idiotic and cartoonish, all his colorful armour has not saved him for not been seen as a poor man's batman.
And yet he chose to make 3 Batman movies and produce a Superman movie. No it was not the director's point of view. That's you placing your own point of view onto the director to try and prove a point and it is not working. All it is doing is making you look stupid. I mean, Nolan spends most of the movie showing scenes with Bruce crafting a suit with tech in it that shows why his "ears" are like that. Why he has spikes on his gauntlets. Why he wears a yellow belt. Why chose to where the symbol of a bat. Why the cape.
You do know that the Penguin is one of the most grounded villains Batman has right? He would have fit in right there with the mobs. Dr. Fr- Nope. You are done. The last spark of credibility you might have had is gone. There is no way you are for real or even a comic fan.
